: : I think I remember reading that somewhere - thanks. Funny though, I would have sworn wisdom teeth had the purpose of giving us unbelievable pain and then draining our bank accounts. This would be possible evidence for a Dentist-God hypothesis.
: I know what you mean, I had all 8 pulled at $100 per tooth. I'm happy that I live in Canada and MSI paid for it!
: Another vestial part is our tail stump. You know, the one which we hurt everytime we sit down to hard. (g)
I lived in Canada at the time too but I the Ontario "OHIP" did not cover it - I was 19 at the time and had dental benefits through my employment that covered 70% of the costs. After recovering from the effects of the gas I thought I was all better and lucky to have had minimal pain so off I went to the bar to join my friends - the next morning I awoke in severe pain looking like a chipmunk and for 2 months I was addicted to painkillers. A fond memory!
Why did you have 8 taken out - are you some sort of mutant? :)
I was discussing the tail stump yesterday with a friend - it's a great example and very comical. I still can't find any info on this pineal body as a remenant of a thrid eye though and it's such an interesting idea if it holds any truth. Supposedly it's a relic of our ties with the reptiles and bioligists claim that the lizard still has a third eye near his other two. I'll continue searching.
